Why parents search for "ClassPass for kids"
The idea is easy to like. One monthly plan, a balance of credits, and lots of different places to spend them. A parent who uses a credit plan for their own workouts may wish the same thing existed for art, piano, martial arts and STEM. That is why people search for things like "apps similar to ClassPass" or "alternatives to class pass".
The catch: ClassPass describes itself around adults' fitness and wellness.
What ClassPass says about itself
Here is what ClassPass's own App Store listing says today:
- Age rating: the listing shows "Age Rating 18+ Years".
- What you book: "fitness classes & appointments at the top studios, gyms, salons, and spas near you".
- How you pay: with credits on a monthly plan. The listing says "customize a plan that works best with your fitness & wellness routine".
- Unused credits: "Roll over unused credits up to the number of credits in your next month's plan."

So ClassPass describes itself around adults' fitness and wellness. ORYN Quest is only for kids' activities. That is the biggest difference between the two, and it matters more than any other row below.

ClassPass column source: ClassPass: Fitness, Spa, Salon on the App Store, as published on Oct 22, 2026. Prices are left out on purpose: we couldn't read ClassPass's plan page directly on that date, so we don't quote its prices. ORYN Quest's plan prices are on our pricing page.
What LA parents use instead: how ORYN Quest works
ORYN Quest is an alternative to ClassPass built around kids. It is a marketplace: families book kids' activities that independent local businesses run.
You book with credits. Families pick a monthly plan (Play, Plus, Pro or Premium) or a one-time credit pack. Every class has its own credit price, shown before you confirm. Bigger plans cost less per credit, and the full details are on the pricing page.
Plan credits don't expire. Credits from your plan carry over, and each month's credits are added on top. Bonus or promo credits can have an end date, and you are told it when you get them.
Booking is made for parents. Open a listing, pick a session, choose which child (or children) is coming, and confirm. There is no card step; credits come off your balance. A confirmation email arrives right away, and a reminder comes about a day before the session.
Lanti, our assistant, helps you search. Lanti is built into the website and the family app, and works by typing or by voice. Try "find a piano lesson for my 6-year-old in Glendale", then pick the session yourself. Booking always needs your tap on Confirm on screen.
It's local. ORYN Quest serves Southern California today, ZIP codes 900–935. Categories include Arts & Crafts, Sports & Fitness, STEM & Science, Music & Dance, Tutoring & Education, Cooking & Baking, and Language & Reading.
You can browse on Explore at orynquest.com or in the ORYN Quest family app on the App Store and Google Play.
Which one is right for your family?
Both can sit side by side. If you want yoga or a spa visit for yourself, ClassPass describes exactly that. If you want a weekly art class or a martial arts class for your child, we think ORYN Quest is the better fit, for three reasons: it is made only for kids' activities, plan credits never expire and have no rollover cap, and Lanti can search by what you describe and show listings near you.
ClassPass is a trademark of its owner. ORYN Quest is not affiliated with or endorsed by ClassPass.
