Child Safety Policy

Version 1.3 — Last updated August 18, 2026

ORYN Quest, Inc. (“ORYN Quest,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”) is committed to supporting safe, positive experiences for children participating in activities offered by independent providers (“Vendors”) through the ORYN Quest platform (“Platform”).

This Child Safety Policy (“Policy”) outlines expectations for Vendors, Parents, and Guardians. By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.

1. ROLE OF ORYN QUEST

ORYN Quest is an online marketplace. We do not:

  • supervise children,
  • operate or manage Vendor facilities,
  • employ Vendor staff,
  • provide transportation or childcare,
  • oversee day‑to‑day activity operations.

Vendors are solely responsible for child safety during their activities.

2. VENDOR SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vendors must:

  • maintain appropriate supervision at all times,
  • ensure staff are qualified for the activities offered,
  • follow all applicable child safety laws and regulations,
  • maintain safe facilities and equipment,
  • implement reasonable safety procedures,
  • follow emergency response protocols,
  • communicate clearly with Parents about safety expectations.

Vendors must immediately remove a child from an activity if safety requires it.

3. STAFF CONDUCT & PROFESSIONALISM

Vendor staff must:

  • treat all children respectfully,
  • maintain professional boundaries,
  • avoid inappropriate physical contact,
  • avoid discriminatory or abusive behavior,
  • avoid one‑on‑one unsupervised situations when possible,
  • follow all mandatory reporting laws where applicable.

4. PARENT & GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES

Parents and Guardians are responsible for:

  • evaluating whether an activity is appropriate for their child,
  • providing accurate medical, behavioral, and emergency information,
  • ensuring timely arrival and pickup,
  • supervising children before check‑in and after dismissal,
  • remaining reachable during activities,
  • communicating any concerns directly to the Vendor.

5. CHILD BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS

Children participating in activities are expected to:

  • follow reasonable instructions from Vendor staff,
  • behave respectfully toward others,
  • use equipment safely,
  • avoid disruptive or dangerous conduct.

Vendors may remove a child from an activity if behavior poses a safety risk.

6. ACCOMMODATIONS & SPECIAL NEEDS

Parents may submit accommodation requests. Vendors determine whether accommodations can be reasonably provided based on:

  • staffing,
  • facility limitations,
  • safety considerations,
  • legal requirements.

ORYN Quest does not guarantee acceptance of accommodation requests.

7. INCIDENT REPORTING

Vendors must promptly notify Parents of:

  • injuries,
  • illnesses,
  • behavioral incidents,
  • emergencies,
  • early dismissal requirements.

Vendors are responsible for following any applicable mandatory reporting laws.

8. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

The following conduct is strictly prohibited for Vendor staff:

  • physical punishment,
  • verbal abuse or threats,
  • discriminatory behavior,
  • inappropriate touching,
  • sexualized behavior or comments,
  • providing alcohol, drugs, or unsafe substances,
  • knowingly placing children in unsafe environments.

9. LOST OR DAMAGED PROPERTY

ORYN Quest is not responsible for:

  • lost or stolen items,
  • damaged personal belongings,
  • misplaced equipment or clothing.

Parents are encouraged to label important items.

10. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION

Vendors may communicate with Parents through the Platform. Direct communication with children outside of supervised activity settings is discouraged unless required for safety.

Messages sent through Platform messaging, and comments posted in community areas, pass through the automated screening described in the Trust & Safety Policy; community posts are automatically flagged for review when they appear to contain personal contact details.

11. POLICY VIOLATIONS

ORYN Quest may investigate any reported or suspected violation of this Policy. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, we may apply graduated enforcement measures, including:

  • (a) a written warning,
  • (b) temporary suspension of an account, listing, or feature access,
  • (c) removal of specific listings or content,
  • (d) permanent removal from the Platform.

Conduct that endangers a child — including any conduct described in Section 8 — will result in immediate removal from the Platform without prior warning. Graduated enforcement does not apply to child‑endangerment violations.

ORYN Quest will cooperate with law enforcement and child protective agencies. This may include:

  • preserving and sharing relevant account records as permitted or required by law,
  • responding to lawful subpoenas, court orders, and official requests,
  • reporting suspected child abuse or exploitation to appropriate authorities.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) are prohibited with zero tolerance. If we obtain actual knowledge of apparent child sexual abuse material or other reportable child exploitation on the Platform, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as federal law requires (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), preserve the related content and records for the period federal law requires, and cooperate with law enforcement. That report is a legal duty, not a discretionary choice.

Vendors must promptly report to ORYN Quest:

  • any allegation of abuse, neglect, or serious misconduct involving a child in connection with a Platform activity,
  • any Vendor staff member charged with or convicted of an offense involving children,
  • any incident during a Platform‑booked activity that required emergency services.

Failure to report is itself a violation of this Policy and may result in enforcement action, up to and including permanent removal.

Enforcement decisions are made at ORYN Quest's discretion, consistent with the Terms of Use, the Vendor Agreement, the Vendor Code of Conduct, and the Parent Code of Conduct. Enforcement under this Policy does not limit any other rights or remedies available to ORYN Quest.

12. REPORTING

If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) first. Contact ORYN Quest only after emergency responders have been notified.

To report a safety concern to ORYN Quest:

  • for community feed posts and comments, use the in‑app report tool on the post or comment itself; and
  • for everything else — including listings, profiles, messages, reviews, and Vendor or staff conduct — email support@orynquest.com with "SAFETY" in the subject line, or report it to the in‑app support assistant available whenever you are signed in.

We act on reports from every channel above.

When reporting, include as much detail as you can: the Vendor or activity involved, the date and location, the people involved, and what happened.

We review safety reports promptly and prioritize reports involving potential harm to a child. We may contact you for additional information. Reports are handled confidentially to the extent reasonably possible; we may share report information with the Vendor involved, law enforcement, or child protective agencies where appropriate.

Reporting through the Platform does not replace, and does not satisfy, any legal obligation to notify law enforcement or to comply with mandatory reporting laws.

ORYN Quest prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a safety concern in good faith.

13. POLICY UPDATES

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy.

For material changes, we will provide notice through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

This Policy works together with the Terms of Use, the Parent & Guardian Terms and Conditions, the Vendor Agreement, the Vendor Code of Conduct, the Parent Code of Conduct, the Community Guidelines, and the Privacy Policy. If this Policy conflicts with the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use control.
