Marketing Consent Policy

Version 1.4 — Last updated September 1, 2026

This Marketing Consent Policy ("Policy") explains, honestly, how ORYN Quest, Inc. ("ORYN Quest," "Company," "we," "our," "us") handles marketing on the ORYN Quest platform (the "Platform") today, and the commitments that will govern any expansion of marketing in the future. It works together with the Communications Consent and Notices Policy, the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Use. If this Policy conflicts with the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use control.

ARTICLE 1 — THE CURRENT STATE — WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO TODAY

1.1 No Separate Marketing-Consent Checkbox Exists Today

We say this plainly because most policies do not: the Platform does not currently present a separate marketing-consent checkbox, and — apart from the newsletter signup described in Section 1.3, a list you join yourself and to which nothing has yet been sent — we do not currently operate promotional marketing programs.

1.2 What We Send Today

The emails we send today are transactional and relationship communications tied to your Account — booking confirmations and reminders, waitlist and waiver notices, billing communications, safety and policy notices, a weekly activity digest, an occasional re-engagement email during roughly the first month after an Account is created, and, after a booked Activity is completed, a single email inviting you to review that Activity. These are described in full in the Communications Consent and Notices Policy. Every digest, re-engagement, and review-request email carries an unsubscribe link in its footer — which opens an unsubscribe page that works without signing in — and one-click unsubscribe headers your email provider can act on. Once you unsubscribe, digest, re-engagement, and review-request emails are no longer sent to you; transactional communications tied to your Account continue.

1.3 Newsletter Signup — Addresses Stored, Nothing Sent Yet

The Platform offers a public newsletter signup, for example in the Help Center. It asks for your email address only and works without an Account; we store the address and a note of which page the signup came from. We say honestly what happens to that address today: it is held so we can send the newsletter, and no newsletter has yet been sent. When the newsletter launches, every issue will carry an unsubscribe link, and the commitments in Article 2 will apply to it. You may have your address removed from the newsletter list at any time by emailing support@orynquest.com.

1.4 What We Do Not Do Today

Today, ORYN Quest does NOT:

  • (a) send SMS or text messages, marketing or otherwise;
  • (b) operate advertising on the Platform, use advertising cookies, or perform cross-site tracking (see the Privacy Policy and Cookie disclosures);
  • (c) sell or rent user contact information to anyone;
  • (d) send promotional email on behalf of third-party partners; or
  • (e) show any advertising in the kid-facing ORYN Play area, which collects nothing at all.

ARTICLE 2 — IF AND WHEN MARKETING EXPANDS — OUR COMMITMENTS

2.1 Opt-In First

If we introduce promotional marketing programs beyond the relationship emails described above — such as marketing newsletters, promotional email campaigns, SMS marketing, or partner promotions — we commit to collecting explicit, affirmative opt-in consent BEFORE sending such marketing to you. Pre-checked boxes will not be used where Applicable Law prohibits them, and consent to marketing will never be a condition of using the Platform.

2.2 Granular Choices

Where we offer multiple marketing streams (for example, an email newsletter and SMS offers), we will offer granular controls so you can opt in to or out of each stream separately, rather than a single all-or-nothing switch.

2.3 Easy, Honored Unsubscribe

Every marketing message will carry a functioning unsubscribe or opt-out mechanism (such as an unsubscribe link for email, or STOP for SMS), and opt-outs will be honored in accordance with Applicable Law. Opting out of marketing will never affect your access to the Platform or the service communications your Account requires.

2.4 Consent Records

Where marketing consent is collected, we will keep records of the consent given, consistent with our consent framework and the Privacy Policy.

ARTICLE 3 — PERMANENT COMMITMENTS — CHILDREN AND DATA

Regardless of how marketing expands, the following are permanent commitments:

  • (a) WE WILL NEVER MARKET TO CHILDREN. Our communications are directed to adult Account holders only; children have no Accounts and receive no communications, and the kid-facing ORYN Play area will remain free of advertising and data collection;
  • (b) WE WILL NEVER USE CHILD PROFILE DATA FOR ADVERTISING. Information Parents provide about their children — including interests, health-adjacent, accessibility, and behavioral information — is used for the matching, accommodation, and personalization purposes described in the Privacy Policy, and will not be used to target advertising or be shared with advertisers; and
  • (c) WE WILL NEVER SELL CONTACT DATA. We will not sell or rent user contact information to third parties.

ARTICLE 4 — IN-PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS ARE NOT MARKETING

4.1 The Distinction

The Platform personalizes what it shows you — for example, suggesting Activities based on your searches, favorites, bookings, and the interests you declare for your children. These recommendations appear inside the product you are already using, promote listings on our own marketplace rather than third-party advertisers' products, and are part of the service itself. They are not third-party advertising, and no advertising networks are involved.

4.2 Your Control Over Behavioral Personalization

You can opt out of behavioral data collection for personalization through your Account settings. When you opt out, the Platform stops recording the behavioral events that feed interest profiles and does not compute a profile for you. The Privacy Policy describes this in full.

4.3 Vendor Placement Is Not Paid

Recommendations and kid-zone vendor placement are never sold: Vendors cannot pay to appear in your recommendations or in the ORYN Play area.

ARTICLE 5 — REFERRAL PROGRAM COMMUNICATIONS

5.1 User-Initiated Sharing

The Platform offers a referral program through which users may share referral links with people they know. Referral sharing is user-initiated: you choose whom to share your link with and through which of your own channels. ORYN Quest does not send unsolicited marketing to your contacts.

5.2 Referral Pages and Rewards

A person who follows a referral link sees a public referral page describing the Platform. Referral rewards are issued in Credits under the program's terms as described on the Platform, and referral mechanics may not be abused (see the Acceptable Use Policy).

5.3 Be Honest When Sharing — and Say You Earn Credits

If you share a referral link, do so honestly and only with people you have a relationship with. Referral rewards are a paid connection between you and ORYN Quest, so make it plain: tell the person you invite that you earn Credits if they join and then book an activity or buy a Membership. The sharing messages and invitation pages the Platform prepares for you say this already; if you write your own message, include a simple statement such as "I earn credits if you sign up with my code and book or subscribe." Do not spam, misrepresent the Platform, or imply your message comes from ORYN Quest.

ARTICLE 6 — MANAGING YOUR CHOICES

You can manage marketing-related preferences by:

  • (a) using the unsubscribe link in any digest or re-engagement email (it works without signing in), or your email provider's one-click unsubscribe control;
  • (b) adjusting available communication settings in your Account;
  • (c) emailing support@orynquest.com — we aim to apply preference changes promptly; and
  • (d) reviewing the Privacy Policy for your rights regarding personal information, including deletion.

ARTICLE 7 — CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy from time to time — including when marketing programs launch, at which point this Policy will be updated to describe them accurately and the opt-in commitments of Article 2 will apply. When we update this Policy, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above; for material changes, we will provide notice through the Platform or by email, and where our consent framework requires it, prompt for re-acceptance.
