International Privacy Addendum

This International Privacy Addendum ("Addendum") supplements the ORYN QUEST — PRIVACY POLICY for individuals who access the ORYN Quest platform (the "Platform") from outside the United States. ORYN Quest, Inc. ("ORYN Quest," "we," "our," or "us") is a Delaware corporation. This Addendum is deliberately candid about the current geographic scope of our service.
ARTICLE 1 — THE PLATFORM IS A UNITED STATES SERVICE TODAY
1.1 U.S.-Only Operations
The Platform currently serves families and independent activity providers in the United States, beginning with the Los Angeles, California area. The activities offered through the Platform take place in the United States, payments are denominated in U.S. dollars, and our policies are written to U.S. law with Delaware governing law as set out in the ORYN QUEST — TERMS OF USE.
1.2 Not Directed to Persons Abroad
The Platform is not directed to, and we do not target or monitor the behavior of, individuals located in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other non-U.S. jurisdictions. We do not offer goods or services to individuals in those jurisdictions today.
1.3 Access from Abroad
The public areas of the Platform may nonetheless be reachable from other countries. If you choose to access the Platform from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws.
1.4 Canada and Other Jurisdictions
The commitments and courtesy rights in this Addendum are not limited to any one region. Whether you are located in Canada, the United Kingdom, the EU/EEA, Australia, or elsewhere, the same U.S.-processing disclosure (Article 2) and courtesy-rights process (Article 3) apply.
1.5 Language
The Platform and its policies are currently offered in English. Rights requests may be submitted in English; we will make reasonable efforts to assist if English is not your first language.
ARTICLE 2 — PROCESSING IN THE UNITED STATES
2.1 Location of Processing
Personal information collected through the Platform is processed in the United States by ORYN Quest and the service providers identified in the ORYN QUEST — PRIVACY POLICY. By using the Platform from another country, you understand that your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
2.2 Differing Legal Standards
United States privacy law may differ from — and may provide less or different protection than — the law of your home jurisdiction. Regardless of where you are located, we apply the practices described in the ORYN QUEST — PRIVACY POLICY, including our no-sale, no-behavioral-advertising, and children's-privacy commitments, to all users.
2.3 Safeguards Apply Worldwide
The security safeguards, essential-cookies-only practice described in the ORYN QUEST — COOKIE POLICY, and purpose limits on sensitive information described in the ORYN QUEST — PRIVACY POLICY apply to all users regardless of location.
ARTICLE 3 — RIGHTS OFFERED AS A COURTESY
3.1 Courtesy Rights
Although we do not currently operate in jurisdictions such as the EU/EEA or the United Kingdom, if you access the Platform from abroad we will, as a courtesy and where technically and legally feasible, honor requests analogous to GDPR-style rights:
- access to your personal information;
- rectification of inaccurate information;
- erasure (through the deletion process at https://orynquest.com/legal/data-deletion, in-app settings, or support@orynquest.com);
- restriction of, or objection to, particular processing (for example, switching off behavioral personalization in account settings); and
- portability of information you provided to us.
3.2 How We Handle Courtesy Requests
Submit requests to support@orynquest.com with the subject line "INTERNATIONAL PRIVACY REQUEST." We verify requests against the email address and account information we hold. We aim to respond promptly and, where a specific statutory deadline would apply in your jurisdiction, we use it as a guide; because these rights are extended as a courtesy today, this Addendum does not itself create statutory obligations where the underlying law does not apply to us.
If you do not hold an account, browsing public areas of the Platform generally creates only the technical log information described in the ORYN QUEST — PRIVACY POLICY; we will tell you if we hold nothing identifiable in response to a verified request.
3.3 Basis for Processing
Where a foreign framework would require a legal basis, our processing corresponds to: performance of our contract with you (operating accounts, bookings, and payments); your consent (optional information you choose to provide, including child profile details, calendar connection, and voice features); our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Platform, preventing fraud, moderating for safety); and compliance with legal obligations.
3.4 Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with how we handle your information, please contact us first at support@orynquest.com so we can try to resolve the issue directly. Nothing in this Addendum limits any right you may have to lodge a complaint with a supervisory or data protection authority in your jurisdiction, where such a right exists.
ARTICLE 4 — NO EU/UK ESTABLISHMENT OR REPRESENTATIVE
We have no establishment in the EU/EEA or the United Kingdom, have not appointed an EU or UK representative under Article 27 GDPR / UK GDPR, and have not appointed a data protection officer, because our current operations do not require them. If our operations change such that these requirements apply, we will meet them before or at the time they arise.
ARTICLE 5 — BEFORE ANY INTERNATIONAL LAUNCH
If ORYN Quest expands service to users outside the United States, we will, before launch in the relevant jurisdiction:
- (a) review and update the ORYN QUEST — PRIVACY POLICY and this Addendum for that jurisdiction's requirements;
- (b) implement any required cross-border transfer mechanisms and appoint any required representatives;
- (c) update consent flows through the Platform's versioned consent system; and
- (d) provide notice of the changes through the Platform or by email.
ARTICLE 6 — CHILDREN
Our children's commitments apply worldwide: children never have accounts, the kid zone at /play collects nothing, and all child information on the Platform is provided by a Parent or Guardian. See the ORYN QUEST — CHILDREN'S PRIVACY POLICY.
The kid zone's zero-collection design and the essential-cookies-only practice described in the ORYN QUEST — COOKIE POLICY apply to visitors from every country.
ARTICLE 7 — RELATED POLICIES AND CHANGES
7.1 This Addendum should be read together with the ORYN QUEST — PRIVACY POLICY, the ORYN QUEST — CHILDREN'S PRIVACY POLICY, the ORYN QUEST — DATA RETENTION POLICY, the ORYN QUEST — CALIFORNIA PRIVACY ADDENDUM, and the ORYN QUEST — STATE PRIVACY ADDENDA.
7.2 We may update this Addendum from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and version above, and material changes will be presented through the Platform's versioned consent system and, where appropriate, by notice through the Platform or by email.
